Fukuoka market heated up by Finland

17.02.2016

Fukuoka is the biggest city in Kyushu island located south-west of Japan. New route to Helsinki from Fukuoka will start from 8 of May. And travel trade in Fukuoka has big expectation on Finnair flight and there are many sales functions in spring time to prepare for the new flight.

Fukuoka is the fourth airport opened in Japan to Helsinki. The population of Fukuoka city is 1.53 million, Fukuoka prefecture is 5.09 million, whole Kyushu island is 13.23 million.  Finnair targets 14 000 passengers until October this summer. Obviously this is the only one European route from Fukuoka after KLM’s withdrawal in Jan, 2016. Naturally travel trade in Fukuoka and Kyushu expect Finnair tremendously.
